Ficus is a tropical tree and commonly grown as "indoor bonsai". Notable features of Ficus includes strong growth, aerial roots, easy propagation via cuttings and small leaves (on some species).

Ficus is also very common and easy to get, especially F. Microcarpa and F. Benjamina are sold as common house plants can be suitable for bonsai cultivation.
